Skin Boosters can be a little uncomfortable depedning on the area of injection. Close to the nose and mouth can be a little 'pinchy'. We will get the areas nice and numb before we start to reduce discomfort. 

At Crybaby Clinic we have some tricks up our sleeve to ensure you are as comfortable as possible including numbing cream, squeeze toys and injection techniques for extra comfort.

Skin Boosters generally last 9-12 months. 

This will depend on a number of different factors including your lifestyle and age.

To keep your skin looking its best please follow your aftercare and remember to book in for maintenance appointments.

As part of your appointment we will talk through your history and provide a throughout consultation to assess your suitability for Skin Boosters.

We are unable to carry out a Skin Booster on those who:

- Are under 18 years old
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have an autoimmune disease
- Have active cold sores
- Have a blood clotting disorder
- Are prone to keloid scarring 
- Have unrealistic expectations

After your skin booster appointment it is normal to have slight swelling and small lumps where the product has been placed. This will settle in few days as the products spreads. Mild bruising at the injection sites is also common.

Please make sure to follow your tailored pre-care and aftercare to help reduce swelling and bruising. It really will help!
